Chapter 8: The prohibition of hunting game for the one who has entered Ihram for Hajj or for Umrah or for both
باب تَحْرِيمِ الصَّيْدِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ
Sahih Muslim 1194 a
Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported that al-Sa'b b. Jaththama presented to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) a wild ass as he was in a state of Ihram, and he returned it to him saying
If we were not in a state of Ihram, we would have accepted it from you.وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، - رضى الله عنهما - قَالَ أَهْدَى الصَّعْبُ بْنُ جَثَّامَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ " لَوْلاَ أَنَّا مُحْرِمُونَ لَقَبِلْنَاهُ مِنْكَ " .
